Scarf ‘Nyfiátiko’

Description

Inspired by the wedding symbols of the cypress and the rhombus, the groom and the bride respectively, as they were imprinted on the carved wooden dowry chests. The traditional symbols come to life again, the wood gives way to thread and the loom. The warps are cotton, from old DMC lace, while the wefts are from spun silk, in various textures and tones of white. Decoration with the loom’s meter lace technique.
